The independent        report evaluated eight online testing vendors across 82 comprehensive        criteria such as management, reporting and usability of vendors&#8217; current        offerings, support for a variety of testing techniques, clear product        strategy and client satisfaction rankings.</p>
<p>&#8220;Online testing provides a mechanism for applying the principles of        quantitative analysis to improve the Web site experience and drive        metrics that affect the bottom line,&#8221; wrote the recently published        report. &#8220;Adobe Test&amp;Target is a component of Adobe&#8217;s        Online Marketing Suite, and the company&#8217;s historical strength in Web        measurement and analytics shines through to its perspective on online        testing. Test&amp;Target exhibits strength in almost every dimension        evaluated.&#8221;</p>
<p>Adobe&#8217;s position as a Leader in the online testing evaluation was also        attributed to its &#8220;consistent strength across the full range of        capabilities&#8221; and &#8220;support for integration with the Web marketing        ecosystem.&#8221; Additionally, Adobe Test&amp;Target was found to excel in        &#8220;overall application usability, customer satisfaction, and content        support.&#8221;</p>
<p>Adobe received high scores across criteria such as campaign management,        testing, integration, service and support, product strategy and        corporate strategy. In addition, Adobe received the highest score in        quality of customer references, earning the only 5-out-of-5 rating in        that category.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Adobe and Day Software Holding AG announced the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement for Adobe to launch a public tender offer to acquire all of the publicly held registered shares of Day Software for CHF139 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately CHF255 million on a fully diluted equity-value basis. This approximates US$240 million at the current exchange rate.</p>
<p>Adobe’s acquisition of Day will strengthen the company’s enterprise software solutions with market leading Web Content Management (WCM), Digital Asset Management and Social Collaboration offerings. This acquisition represents a significant market opportunity for Adobe to help organizations transform themselves by enabling them to create, manage, distribute and monetize content while optimizing the web experience for their customers.</p>
<p>Day’s leading web solutions combined with Adobe’s existing enterprise portfolio will enable customers to better integrate their global web presence and business applications, unlocking value across their marketing, sales and service processes.In addition, Day customers will be able to leverage more interactive application and document capabilities from Adobe® AIR®, Adobe® Flash®, Flex, Adobe® LiveCycle® and PDF.The combination of Day and Adobe will help customers realize the full potential of the web in acquiring, servicing and retaining their customers, without disrupting their existing IT infrastructures.</p>
<p>“Adobe’s acquisition of Day represents a key milestone in our efforts toward delivering best-in-class customer experience management solutions to enterprises and governments worldwide,” said Rob Tarkoff, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Enterprise Solutions, Adobe. “With the addition of Day to our enterprise portfolio, we will be able to enhance the value of our offering and deliver on our vision of the web as the hub of customer interaction.”</p>
<p>“Organizations around the globe have recognized the importance of the online and mobile channel and turned to Day as their enterprise standard for next generation Web Content Management,”said Erik Hansen, CEO, Day Software. “We are excited to join Adobe and combine our expertise in WCM with technologies that create and deliver rich online and offline experiences leveraging the ubiquity of Flash and PDF. We believe this is a winning combination for both Adobe and Day customers.”</p>
<p><strong>Transaction Details</strong><br />
As part of the expected integration of the two companies, Day will operate as a product line within Adobe&#8217;s Digital Enterprise Solutions Business Unit. Day CEO Erik Hansen will join Adobe reporting directly to Rob Tarkoff.</p>
<p>The proposed offer represents a premium of 59 percent over Day’s volume-weighted average share price for the last 60 trading days.  The Board of Directors of Day unanimously recommends the offer to Day shareholders.  The Chairman and the CEO of Day and other Board members have entered into undertakings to tender their shares.</p>
<p>The completion of the transaction, which is subject to customary government approvals and the satisfaction of other customary conditions, including a minimum acceptance threshold with respect to the tender offer, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Adobe’s 2010 fiscal year.</p>
<p>Adobe expects the acquisition will have no material impact on Adobe’s non-GAAP earnings for fiscal year 2010 and that it will be accretive to non-GAAP earnings for fiscal year 2011.</p>

Consisting of a 3D CAD translation suite and PDF publishing SDK, the technology allows OEM development teams to create applications that access data from over 25 popular 3D file formats, and publish rich 3D PDF files in the industry-standard PRC and U3D formats. Adobe will continue to support viewing of and interaction with 3D data within its applicable products, including the free Adobe(R) Reader(R) software. Moving forward, Tech Soft 3D will continue to make updated CAD translators available to end users as plug-ins to applicable Adobe(R) software for reading and outputting 3D PDF.</p>
<p>Upon closing of the transaction, Tech Soft 3D will maintain the existing development center in Lyon, France, which will continue to aggressively update, enhance and support the technology. <p>“We’re empowering developers to create side revenues by giving them an inexpensive and reliable method of controlling access to their desktop or web applications,” said Cliff Hall, Futurescale’s CEO. “Developers sell their applications anywhere and anyhow they like. Their data is secure. It never passes through our servers and they pay us no royalties, percentages or fees on the licenses they sell.”</p>
<p>Zarqon gives developers feature-level control of their software, which is stored and accessed for pennies per month in their own Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) account.</p>
<p><strong>Empowering the Developer</strong></p>
<p>Today, an abundance of social networks, interactive maps and other web-based APIs allow developers to “mashup” various functionalities to create new applications and, if there is enough value in the finished product, realize revenue from it.</p>
<p>A common model is to release ad-supported and/or free functionality to allow viral spreading of the product and sell premium features and/or remove ads for users who will pay. The developer then needs to control access to those features and this is where Zarqon comes in.</p>
<p>The Zarqon Desktop Control Center allows developers to easily describe their products, features and feature sets. They can then issue licenses for recurring subscriptions and time-limited trials (at the product, feature or feature set level), and up-sell new features to existing users. Licenses can be disabled at any time if compromised.</p>
<p>Zarqon is convenient; there is no server-side software to manage. Applications can validate a license online in seconds. Developers using Adobe AIR and Flex for desktop, mobile and web can leverage the same simple yet powerful API.</p>
<p><strong>Assuring Secure and Reliable Storage</strong></p>
<p>Since the developer’s application will actively validate its license each time their customers run it, two obvious concerns are security and reliability. The developer trusts the host to provide robust and reliable access to the licenses, as well as protecting the product and license holder information from hackers.</p>
<p>In licensing schemes that require server side software, achieving security is much more difficult, since each server side program has its own unique vulnerabilities.</p>
<p>Zarqon solves these trust-related issues by combining a smart client and API with a simple cloud storage platform. Amazon S3 is one of the most mature cloud platforms on the Internet.</p>
